Buttahtoast Library

Chainguard's redistribution of the Buttahtoast Helm library chart, a Helm library chart that provides reusable template functions (Sprig-style helpers, image/imagePullSecret helpers, and general utilities) for other Helm charts to import as a dependency.

Prerequisites

Authentication is required to access this chart. First, authenticate with Chainguard and configure your environment:

chainctl auth login
chainctl auth configure-docker --pull-token --save
helm registry login cgr.dev

Usage

Library charts are not installed directly with helm install. Instead, add this chart as a dependency of another chart via its Chart.yaml:

apiVersion: v2
name: my-chart
version: 0.1.0
dependencies:
  - name: buttahtoast-library
    version: 3.0.0-rc.3
    repository: oci://cgr.dev/ORGANIZATION/charts
    import-values:
      - defaults

Then pull the dependency and use the library's template functions from your own templates:

helm dependency update

About This Chart

This chart ships only Helm templates and no container images. It is intended to be consumed by other charts as a library dependency, not installed on its own.
