Grafana Mimir Distributed

Chainguard's redistribution of the Grafana Mimir distributed Helm chart, pre-configured with hardened Chainguard Images. Deploys Grafana Mimir -- an open-source, horizontally scalable, highly available, multi-tenant TSDB for long-term storage of Prometheus metrics -- in microservices mode.

Prerequisites

Authentication is required to access this chart and its images. First, authenticate with Chainguard and configure your environment:

chainctl auth login
chainctl auth configure-docker --pull-token --save
helm registry login cgr.dev

Create an image pull secret for the cluster:

kubectl create secret docker-registry cgr-pull-secret \
  --docker-server=cgr.dev \
  --docker-username="$(echo cgr.dev | docker-credential-cgr get | jq -r '.Username')" \
  --docker-password="$(echo cgr.dev | docker-credential-cgr get | jq -r '.Secret')"

Installation

helm install mimir-distributed oci://cgr.dev/ORGANIZATION/charts/mimir-distributed \
  --set global.image.pullSecrets[0]=cgr-pull-secret

About This Chart

This is a redistribution of the upstream Grafana Mimir distributed Helm chart. All upstream configuration options and documentation apply.

The chart deploys the full Mimir microservices topology (distributor, ingester, querier, query-frontend, store-gateway, compactor, ruler, alertmanager) along with an nginx gateway and, optionally, Kafka for the ingest-storage architecture and memcached for query and metadata caching.
