This chart is superseded. It tracks the cowboysysop vertical-pod-autoscaler chart, which is no longer actively maintained upstream and is frozen at appVersion 1.5.0 — its bundled CRDs predate fields that current VPA releases write, so the recommender logs a schema warning on every reconcile loop. Please migrate to charts/community-vertical-pod-autoscaler (cgr.dev/ORGANIZATION/charts/community-vertical-pod-autoscaler), which tracks the maintained stevehipwell chart at current VPA versions. Its README carries a migration guide.

Chainguard's redistribution of the Cowboy Sysop vertical-pod-autoscaler Helm chart, pre-configured with hardened Chainguard Images for the three Vertical Pod Autoscaler components (admission-controller, recommender, updater) and the CRD install job.

Prerequisites

Authentication is required to access this chart and its images. First, authenticate with Chainguard and configure your environment:

chainctl auth login
chainctl auth configure-docker --pull-token --save
helm registry login cgr.dev

Create an image pull secret in the target namespace:
